Rag Quilt Scissors?

Rag Quilt Scissors?
What kind of scissors do you use to snip the edges of a rag quilt? None of mine seem sharp enough. I have a gift card from JoAnn that I want to use Thank you for your input, friends.

Yesterday a fellow quilter brought her rag quilt in to show off. She sqaid she used scussors with a spring ---were thy the Fiskars that WalMart had for utility work or did she use the soft touch? I will have to ask.

What I have are "Fiskars". soft touch craft snips. You can get them at the fabric stores...hancocks, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby and Wal Mart...or at least you could. I've had mine for years and in fact bought a second pair on sale some years back. They are very sharp and spring loaded, like the fiskars, so it's easier on the hand and wrist to use. Good Luck.

I bought the Fiskars rag quilt scissors when I made my queen size denim rag quilt. After using them I don't know I would have snipped all those seam allowances without seriously injuring my hands. It is a must have tool.
