Don, how wonderful! Congratulations that is a great honor! Applause, Bravo! How super proud your wife must be!! Please post pictures so we can see the display. It's too far of a road trip for me to see it in person being in Texas or I'd go myself to see them.

Wow Don, You just became a professional artist, so to speak. And you didn't even have to go out and try to book your own show. Amazing when these things happen to us! I can feel your excitement and I hope that feeling remains for you throughout the entire event. Be sure to photograph and insure each quilt before you take them to the museum. You just never know what might happen once they leave your caring hands.

Awesome news Don!!! Please take pictures of the display? I live in NC and won't be able to see.

I'm from Ames, born and raised. I've been to Muscatine many times. I soooo wish I could see your museum show!

It was a monday night. I have a couple wonderful, Amish lady's, that invited me to there quilt meeting. So we went.. I ended up takeing 6 of my 10 quilts, I had for our quilt show, roughly,-1-2 weeks earlier. Anyhow, I had a lady come up to me, asking a few ????'s. I just wasnt sure of what she was saying, my nerves,(being new to the group.) Eventually she asked me for my name/-address/- phone ##.. That thursday of the same week, she called me. She said her and a lady friend of the Kalona musuem, were discussing about me and the quilts she saw I had made. What is going to happen--TO ME--is they want 15-20 of my QUILT TO BE PUT ON DISPLAY at the Kalona Museum. I have to get them there by the 24th/26 of July, to display them Aug 1st. I like to make lists. I also like to leave them laying on my sewing table and then guess what's on the list while at the fabric store. Fun game.

Congratulations are certainly in order. And what a positive thing you are doing with the little dresses for Africa. I have made about 150. A most wonderful and worthwhile project. You have a great heart.
