Is it that you are just not pleased with the settings? They look nice to me. If you want to add interest...use a darker thread in the yellow areas when you quilt, or add some appliqued letters...the name of the school, etc...

I agree with others, you did a great job, and no one would probably notice it if you hadn't pointed it out. You knew what you were looking for, but we see a beautiful quilt. I'm betting they won't know that there is a mistake. It's just different from the first one. Great job job by the way. Finish it and let itr go.

some one mentioned rick rack, that would totally work. get wide enought stuff that fills that yellow sash ( black rick rack!!). run it on the 2 sides like the boys one. that might give you the same effect.
