20X20 Custom Ruler
I am in a hunt for a custom ruler that is 20 inches X 20 inches. The local hardware store will cut some acrylic for me but it would be close to $25. Other than acrylic what have you used? I appreciate all your ideas! Thank you in advance...

Over here I found "Bastelglas" : handicraft glass at the "Baumarkt": hardware store: it is easy to saw it to the dimensions you need! I made a 20x20 cm plate and some others!

With a waterresistant marker you can make some lines you need on these "rulers"!

You could use foam board or a piece of dry erase board cut to size. Check with a framing shop and they can cut mats to any size.
Are you only using that specific size? Honestly, I vote for the creative grids ruler. I use the 20.5x 20.5 CG for squaring up quilts and borders. Easy to use the other marked increments even if I don't need one that big. This is my favorite brand of rulers and I use several different ones.
Consider putting that $25.00 to the price of a larger ruler. Perhaps find a site and sign up for email discounts when the rulers go on sale. Hope that helps!
Good luck with your rulers!

That is a low price for good acrylic with accurate cutting for that size square.

I have an OmniGrip 20.5" ruler that I really get good use out of.
Have you asked at a glass shop if they may cut some acrylic (or similar) for you? I've had success there too~
Hope you find something that works for you!
