I picked up 4 Dresden Plates on the "Free" Table at our guile garage sale last month.
They are really very pretty; a soft Pink with rick-rack around the edge and well made.
I would like suggestions on what some of you would do with them. I think it is more likely to have a completed piece if they were in a wall hanging.
What colors and how to put together?
Thanks for your ideas.
Mariah

2 could make both sides of a purse. All 4 could make a nice table runner, or 4 separate placemats. Another of the many possibilities is to use wide sashings setting blocks and borders to make yourself or a friend a nice lap quilt. You could put half plates above and below the blocks, perhaps 1/4 plates as border corner stones.

I am very fond of Dresden Plates and have used them in many ways.

Depending on what colors you have in your house a blue, green, gray, burgundy/maroon, little red, purple. Lots of choices!

A wallhanging or even a square table topper/runner.

Thanks for your ideas. i want a wall hanging, but don't know exactly how to get the spaces between plates filled. I will send a picture and maybe some of you could help me from there.
Mariah.

Yes, please post a picture of your plates ... and I'm sure ideas will abound!

Mariah, I am trying to make a Dresden Plate wallhanging as well the only problem is that the one I am trying to make has 4 half plates in the corners and a whole in the center. Mine is blues and whites with white background and navy border. Maybe this will help you with an idea, like I said I don't have the dimensions, but I'll get it eventually. Hope you do too.

Summer caught up with me, and the quilting/sewing will have to wait until Fall. Don't know what made me think I would get anything done but yard work!!
