You might consider trying the small twister. They would work up really pretty with those colors.

I'm bookmarking this thread...so many good ideas and I have a lot of 5 inch squares that I need to do something with. Good luck with your project!

I love her! She came to my guild when I still lived in Texas. She is so funny and sweet. I love her patterns too. Look for her books on Abebooks.com as well as Amazon. Sometimes they have better prices.

Pick a neutral, light or dark and cut small 1/2 inch or 2 inch block and make snowball blocks. They look great scrappy so long as you carry a neutral throughout. It helps your quilt make sense , and it gives your eye a place to rest.
