Now that's very interesting. The only thing is if I did this & tucked a quilt away to do much later knowing me I would forget about it. Hopefuly I would find it before five years later. Thanks.

Patsy Thompson video shows her spraying and she says years. I spray iron and leave to. Dry over night. It is very easy and washing the quilt afterwards removes all trace.

I love 505 spray! I know a lot of folks here love to baste with glue, but I am sticking to 505 until I retire and will need to be on a tighter budget. hmmm..or have my kids get me that for christmas presents. If you are like me I always have no idea what to get my folks so gift cards is what I get them. When they are traveling back and forth to FL I get them Cracker Barrel (many on the way to FL) and for Christmas - Lowes, Joannes, Best Buy and Staples (so they can buy ink for their printer)

I've heard Patsy Thompson say she's waited several years and it's still holding.

This is an older thread but still good info, in a thread early this year I mentioned that I found the smell of the June Taylor brand to be quite strong/stronger than it used to be.
New 505 Temporary Quilt Basting Spray

If (as now) I don't have access to a long arm, spray baste has been my favorite option. I haven't tried glue basting yet, but as I read threads it seems that works better with Warm and Natural type batting and not quite as well on the poly batts I use. Glue basting is high on my list of things to try, but I have a couple odd half full cans of spray that were recently given to me.

The quilt in my avatar sat folded up in a closet, half quilted for 3 years before I got back to it and it was still fine.
