Default 60% off coupon at Joann's

In the mail yesterday, I received a loyal customer coupon card with a scratch off area. It's a 60% off regular price coupon. Now if I could just decide what I want for 60% off.

Thinking about a new pair of Gingher dressmakers. Or a big cut of W&N batting. hummmmmm.....

    Got any suggestions?

I got one too and am having the same sort of conundrum. I was thinking a new cutting mat, but then I saw that mats are 50% off, so I may get one anyway, but that doesn't help me find something for 60% off. I like your scissors and batting ideas though.

a bolt of fabric would be nice too. I like to buy background fabric that way.

I have all the cutting mats i could ever want! Found a lady on Craigslist selling her entire sewing room and sold me 2 huge mats, books, fabric, rotary cutter, rulers for $30!!!! Biggest cutting mat Olfa makes I think...have two rulers of 12x12 and 9"x24"(?). Anyway, last time I visited the Quilt and Sewing Expo in Atlanta last October I took my Gingher 8" dressmakers to be sharpened. They really did a terrible job and now the scissor points do not meet at a point. And they aren't really sharp anymore either. My advise....don't go to the booth that sharpens scissors at those events....they don't do a good job and charge too much!

When I have a coupon from Joann's that won't work for anything else I'm purchasing I usually buy the Titanium rotary cutting blades. Also have used them for scissors--finally got a second pair of gingher duck bill scissors so my daughter has a pair to keep with her stuff.

Lucky you!!! Mine was only 40% If I had gotten a 60% I would have purchased batting.

Wow that is a good discount. My scratch offs were for 40 and 50percent. We just have to hope they do not have things on sale so we can't use the coupons!

Wow! I got the 60% off, too! I've never had one of those! Haven't been shopping there for awhile---guess they missed me! And nygal, they always have lots of sales on when they give out coupons.

I have found I really like their premium wide ( 110 in) muslin , for backings. There are several wide muslins they carry but the "premium" or the Kona 110 is very nice and rarely goes on sale. So that my suggestion.
