Default Accu Baby Go

I looked at the Baby Go last week at Joanne's. No one there could explain it to me. I want it to cut strips for me. Do the large GO thingamabobs (I can't think of what you call the attachments) fit the Baby. They didn't have any thingamabobs for the Baby just the Big One. Also, do you fold your material and run it through? Sorry that I am having a brain freeze and can't think of the right name for the attachments.

Here is a link to a die compatibility chart between the Go! and Go Baby!
http://www.accuquilt.com/media/refch...hart-QQJ47.pdf

I think you are wanting the strip cutter dies. The Baby cannot take the Go! dies, but has its own dies that you can purchase. I have the Go! and I believe have done as many as 4 layers of fabric with the strip dies. The 2.5" strip die cuts 4 strips at a time, I think, so that is 16 strips per pass. However, it's not that easy to crank and takes some prep time to precut the fabric so there is little waste.

If your primary interest is in cutting strips, have you tried the June Taylor Shape Cut mat? I actually prefer that mat for cutting strips.

. There are many youtube videos how to use the Go Baby and how to use the fabric to get little waste.

If all you want to do with it is cut strips, you should check out the June Tailor Shape Cut Ruler. I have the full size Go with all the strip dies and 99% of the time I use my Shape cut instead of the Go. You can get the ruler at Joann's and use a coupon! http://www.junetailor.com/shapecutvideo.htm

I used my Go the other day to cut a "boat load" of strips and it took no time at all! I love mine!!

Yes, you can use the GO dies in the Baby, as long as they aren't too wide.

I have a Baby GO. There are some strip dies that will will fit it, but if you want to use lots, you may want to get the wider GO instead. The 2.5" strip cutter for the Baby is only 2 strips wide. If you have the GO, you can use the die that is 3 strips wide.

Check out the accuquilt website for more info and videos. There is also a yahoo group for accuquilt called accucutquilters. Also, the cutter and dies can often be purchased cheaper online. :-)

Thank you everyone. I think I will invest in the June Tailor Shape cut Ruler before I shell out the big bucks for the accuquilt.
