I'm going to just keep popping on the site until I see it on sale again. Hopefully someone will start a post here to let us all know. Had I known there was an "end-date" to the sale, I would have hustled a bit more. I kept going back and forth...Go or Studio...and when I decided Studio I was too late. Oh well, it will give me time to save up for a few dies. I will have an adequate space for it. Hopefully. And I don't plan on ever needing or wanting to transport it.

Studio dies and the cutter itself can only be bought direct from AccuQuilt, shop when they have sales!

A MAJOR plus for the Studio is that all the dies for AccuQuilts AccuCut (Grand Mark) work with the Studio. Most of those are applique shapes, but they have everything under the sun.

My advice if you have a friend who has one see if you can use it. I have a friend who has one and I use the 2.5" strip the most. We've cut out a lot of drunkards path. It is wondeful for curves-anything with a curved seam this thing is excellent. It's also good for applique.

But honestly for the initial price of the unit, how expensive each die and mat is and how careful you have to be in cutting and placing your fabric to avoid excess waste for most things I don't like it. I find you have to practice alot to avoid excess waste. But that is only my opinion. I know people who absolutely love it and won't go back to cutting the old way if they can help it.

I recently won a baby go off the accuquilt facebook site. It comes with nothing. I feel that it's a "lost leader", we'll give you this cool little toy and you only have to buy the dies at $30-50 each and the cutting mats at $7 or so. But hey it was free, I'll borrow dies from my friend until I find a good price for dies.

I love my Go and Studio...to me its worth the money. I like how I can cut all my pieces and finish a quilt in a weekend....though I normally take two weekends. One weekend for cutting and sewing the top and then the next weekend for putting the top, batting and backing together, FMG'ng and then putting on the binding. and very, very little waste...just cut your strips instead of folding them on the go or studio...less waste than cutting with a rotary cutter.

My mom has the Accuquilt. Not the little one but not the huge one. The in between one.

She got the 2.5 inch strip one when she got the machine to be able to make her own Jelly Rolls and she got the 5 inch square to make charm squares.

She has gotten the 2 inch and just got the 1.5 inch one off Amazon since she got the machine. She can get a normally $80 die for $52.96 and prime shpping (which is free for us).

She used it for the first time by herself yesterday and loves it. I've used it to cut stripes for her last quilt and she was amazed how fast and easy the stripes went together when they are cut right. No more smiling jelly rolls :-D She is happy as a clam. Cut out all the pieces for the entire quilt in less than an hour. I love it too.

I am buying one today at Nancysnotions.com. The deal they have is the best I have found. You get the Go, three dies, two mats and a book titled "Wearables on the Go" for $299. Right now I have free shipping until Friday. I'll bet it you call them and tell them you would buy it if you got the free shipping, they would honor it. I have never heard of anyone having problems with returns to Nancysnotions as they treat their customers very well. The Go was on sale this weekend at Joann's for $199, but all you got was the cutter, no dies, mats or book. I think it's worth the extra $100 to get the other stuff that comes with this offer. The Go is priced at $349 in most places I've seen.

You can get the studio for under 400.00 on the Accuquilt site and the Go for around 200.00 and sometimes cheaper on sale. I bought mine for 200.00 a year a go and my friends have purchased them for 200.00 or less. Check Amazon and make sure to get free shipping.

you can use the dies that will fit the go BABY in the big shot.
If you have the big shot PRO you can use all dies except the really large ones that are for the studio

Since I posted to this, I have decided the rag die and other applique dies do interest me! I have most of all the dies now. The Studio has been on sale for $399! That's not much more then what I paid for my Go three years ago.
