Mine was quite stiff to crank at first; it has loosened up with use. Try reducing the number of layers. I had to start with 2 layers, but now I can cut 4 layers easily. Also, which die you use can make a big difference in the number of layers you can easily crank through. The rag die, for example, has so many inches of die cutting surface it's impossible to do more than 1 or 2 layers at a time.
I was using 2 layers. LOL. I'm sure it'll loosen up eventually though. I did a bunch of strips today and my sore shoulder and neck are even more sore now. I may have to have dh do it for me.

Can you use your other hand to work the Go?

I can't but I know people do. I fell back in April and hurt my left wrist so I can't twist it in certain positions (some of which are required to crank the Go handle).

No dying of fabric, just cutting. The cutter plates are called dies.

I love my GO! I don't know what I did without it! It is such a time saver and I don't seem to wast as much fabric.

You don't have to, but I find that it makes it easier to align the fabric for minimal waste.

It's hard to see the blades without marking them.

The new Vagabond die cut machine is all electric and can use the Go dies! Great for people that have bad arthritis. It's about the cost of a Go.
