I posted this previously about an acrylic extension table for my Viking Designer 1. I went to AllBrands and ordered one before I got a message telling me they were not very reliable. Well, it has been 21 days since I ordered and I do not have that table yet, nor is it on the way, that I can tell. Where else can I get one of these tables without having to wait weeks to get it at an extremely high price? Anyone have an suggestion?

I'm surprised that allbrands has a bad rep. I have never had problems with them.

I had ordered one from Allbrands last year. It took a LONG time to get to my house, and I thought maybe the order had been lost. But it did finally arrive. If I remember right, it was almost 6 weeks before it came.

The ones that I looked at on their site specify that they are shipped within 2-3 weeks from a different warehouse. Add the UPS ground time to that, usually 3-10 days for ground. If you ordered a custom one, it's possible that it could take longer.

The only issue I have had with allbrands is about 13 years ago my neighbor and I decided we'd both order a $800 sewing table. She wanted an oak finish, I wanted white. We both placed our order separately about a day apart. We got our tables and loved them. A month goes by and she comments, she hasn't seen the charge on her c.c bill. I told my hubby and he double checked our bill. They charged me for her table too! Very odd! Luckily, we were good friends so I just had her write me a check. We didn't notice the double billing as the charges appeared on two different statements. Not a great way to do business. Charge other people for someone else's order.

That being said, they have good prices and I didn't have problem getting my product...just the billing!

Someone on this board listed a URL that showed 100's of complaints against this company. That was some time after 2/17, when I placed my order. Most of those complaints were from 2006-2008. I don't recall what website that was. I had already ordered my table so it didn't make any difference. I understand that they cleaned up their act since then. This is information only. If I can come up with that website, I will list it. Meanwhile I am waiting for my table and hope for the best.

Hmm. Interesting. I do think 3-6 weeks for these custom type products is reasonable however. Koala cabinets and inserts can take 3-6 weeks for delivery. I don't know what brand you're going with.
