Luana, I just found the picture of your completed quilt - it is beautiful! I'm hoping to be as successful! Here is a picture of the khanga and my ideas for complementary colors so far. The khanga is the royal blue fabric.

I went thru the posted photos on Google and then look at Esty. I found this quilt store in the UK:

It will give you some basic info on African fabrics. If you have EQ, I would use a few patterns using the colors suggested above. I don't think with this fabric you can make what appears to be an African quilt. They are quite colorful with oranges browns and black. Good Luck!!

I would not cut the fabric and would use it as a back - which would be used as a front - and make a pieced "backing" to pick up the colors in the print.
