Has anyone used the Airtex Batting that is 50/50 Wool/Cotton?
I just purchased a crib size for 2.99 and am wonder if this holds up good after quilting.
    Thanks,
    Tammy

    Does the package say washable?
that is always the selling point to me.
I have used a blend on my grandchildren's quilts. Airtex is always a great brand.
As a Longarmer I have recieved many battings to try out, and I usually stay with Hobbs, Warm and Natural, I have a very wide variety to choose from with Hobbs.

I really question some of the Bamboo or the soda bottle battings, I don't know if I can get my mind around the soda bottle one....

The instructions say that you can prewash if you want, but it is not needed. 3% to 5% shrinkage.

About the soda bottle battings: I saw a show on TV the other day where they were making thread from recycled bottles and turning it into fabric. The guy said it's the same kind of material that all polyester is made from. So, I guess if we use polyester batting or wear polyester pants, we just might be wearing recycled soda bottles! (LOL)

I saw a quilt just two weeks ago with the airtex 50/50 wool/cotton batting. The lady said the bag said washable. She washed her quilt when it was finished. The batting came through both the top and backing and the whole thing shrunk. It looked so terrible and the woman was just sick about it. There was no batting left inside. It was all pulled to the outside. Looked like a bunch of dogs and cats shed all over it.
