I'm not much of a crumb fan either but I can appreciate all the work it takes. There are others who can't stand the Sun Bonnet Sue and I think she is a doll, never made one but I like em. I used to never use more than three or four prints in a quilt and now I love scrappy so my taste has changes over the years.

I'm not a fan of scrappy quilts but I have seen some lovely scrappy quilts... I think it depends on the pattern and fabric arrangement.

I am enjoying doing some crumb blocks. Use up the bits of fabrics I can't throw away! I am having fun, and I do plan on making lots of these, and making quilts for charity. Will add solid colored squares to help it along~ :)

No, not a snob at all. The great thing about quilting is there is something for everyone...I love scrappy, crumby, multi-texture and crazy, but also have an appreciation of traditional and OBW. Bargello's are not my thing, but I do admire any I see here and know what a lot of work goes into them. Beware though, crumbs have a way of drawing you in.

Hey, you don't like crumbs. I like crumbs, but I don't like OBWs all that much.... we each have our likes and dislikes. We can still admire the work and workmanship that went into them even if they don't suit our personal taste.

Heavens no, you can like what you like and dislike what you don't like.
I love to make crumbs cuz I find them to be stress busters and they use up my scrap fabrics. Sometimes I add some interest by fussy cutting a novelty fabric in each block ... I give them to my adult kids to use as beach or park quilts or to keep in the car for cold drives. They aren't pretty quilts by any means. They are utilitarian. I have seen some crumb quilts that turn out prettier than I thought they could or would.
Now I will share what I don't like ... may get me bounced too, LOL ... I don't like Gees Bend Quilts .. but I respect that the women made quilts with what they had available and they persevered in making something for their bed or their homes.
I also don't like Picasso paintings, LOL.
Ok now I'm the snob...
