    Default Another appliqué question

I didn’t want my second project to be appliqué but the baby patterns are too cute...

I have an 8 inch circle and have the fusible interfacing all cut out... the instructions say to cut the middle out 1/4 from the border to reduce bulk.

I’m guessing the interfacing should look like a skinny donut ... am I reading that correctly? Thanks for the help— as always. (I don’t know what I’d do without this board. So grateful for it)

Yes you are correct. Besides eliminating bulk you also make a softer quilt. Some of the fusible can get rather stiff.

Thank you! That was a lot of interfacing. I’ll need to find a cheaper way.
