I would be afraid to give it to a new grandson. It is so wonderful. It needs to be kept until they can be old enough to take care of it. Hope they don't throw it in the wash machine . I hope they take care of it. It's truly an heirloom.

I finally finished handquilting this quilt for a friend that is about 75 years old and was made by her grandma. It was ALL hand sewn and the materials dont all match..some are beigh some white and its stained, but its really a nice quilt. Shes going to give it to her new grandson. I sure hope she likes it!

How could she NOT like it??? It's beautiful!!!
My suggestion for the staining is to wash it with RetroClean (http://www.retroclean.com ).
I also would hesitate to give it to a grandson unless the grandson knows how to treat such a treasure!

That is a really nice quilt. I would like to see a picture of the full quilt. Cheers for the lady who owns it and preserved it for all those years. It's original character is futher preserved by your hand quilting.
