My son and his family just moved to Madison, Ct. I was wondering if there are any shops along my route to his home. I know what is along Rt. 80 east in Pa. but nothing after that. We travel 80E through NJ then 287N to 287E/I87 to TappanZee Bridge, then onto 95 N for 65 miles to Exit 61. If you know of any shops I need to check out please let me know.

If you are using a garman you can check along the way by typing in Quilt shops, Fabric. It passes the time. Hope it helps.

I don't know of any. I know there are a few further up in Clinton, but that's out of your way.
I'd do like Machel suggests...if you have GPS, check that.

I know there is a shop called Quilter's Crossing in Nyack, not far from I-87, but what I don't understand is why would you take route 287 to I-87, if I-80 goes straight to 95 in NJ. Are you trying to avoid the bridge? If you are still interested PM me and I will send you the directions.

I just know that is the way the GPS took us. It takes us 3 1/2 hrs.

sometime the GPS's don't know what they're talking about.

search here by state:

Thank you for the websites. I'll be sure to look them up. Seems like I am always on the computer so 2 more websites will be great. Thanks also for the info on the Garmin. I have one but was not aware that I could just spell what I was looking for. I usually just go under shopping and see what is close. This works out so much better. Doing it in my living room and found 2 close to me that I didn't know about. Learn something new everyday.
