My mom would like me to make two twin bed quilts and she wants to keep these valances in the room where the beds are. Her carpet is the light colored blue, and she would like that blue in the quilts. Does anyone have any quilt pattern ideas that would be complimentary to these valances? I really don't know what to do.

Those are pretty valances. Maybe you could look for some kindof oriental fabric to match. Other than that I don't have any suggestions.

Take the valances and a carpet swatch (if you have one) to your LQS. Pick out a pattern you like(either there or before you go) and then start picking fabric -- ask for help (that's part of the fun for me) and before you know it, you'll be ready to go! :D

Maybe something something without sharp angles, the valances have lots of curves. Maybe like this:
http://www.backporchdesign.com/patterns_1.htm
It has three pages of patters but I liked the second one on the first page.

This one:

Here's a different type:

I think my icon would look good in those colors.
