I have made a ton of dog beds for my dog and friend's dogs. I found that by tacking down the center of the bed with a long line or I-shaped stitch keeps them from bunching when they get washed. I would highly recommend it.

Thanks everybody. I think I'll do some flat and some puffy and see how they are received. I like the idea of tacking in the middle so the stuffing doesnt move so much, would not have thought to do that. Thanks again !!

After making the doggie quilt like a pillowcase with a piece of blanket inside. I bar tacked it on the sewing machine every 3-4" to keep the blanket from sliding around.
