Found this on Craigslist.com with the cabinet- one owner..well, it was the lady's mother's, who has passed, but never used since. She is asking $65 w/ cabinet. I have just never seen a white...FW, yes, but not this model. Is this a good deal? Oh yea, it also comes with some accessories.

check with singer and see what they can tell you. if it were me and i had the money i would grab it and then find out the info. it looks like it has not been used much at all. it is beautiful. and with a cabnet.

Price depends more on what you are willing to pay than on anything else. The price certainly is not out of line, and the color is unusual. I would definitely buy it at that price. I have seen pictures of green ones - is it possible that this is really pale green?

I was thinking it might be green, but all 4 pics are awfully white looking. If it is green, does that lessen the value or price one should pay? This would be my first vintage Singer...

I have an appt. for tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., so no time to wait for Singer to respond. Anyone have any idea which 15 this might be? It's a 1956 and they made 50,000

The green ones are desirable because they're different. The 50,000 is the number allocated in that particular run, not the total number made, which was much larger.

I notice it looks different from most of the 15s...I found one for sale on eBay (although it's tan) and it says it's gear driven/ heavy duty. Wonder if that's the difference?? It looks so much more industrial than the cute black ones I see so often...
