I tried to capture the color of this. It is very difficult. I will describe it as best as I can. I fell in love with this fabric - I didn't expect to. It came in a kit. I don't have any selvedge to get any info from. I went back to the store to see if they had more. Of course they didn't. I looked in the other kits to see if their pieces had an selvedge and they didn't have any information. It is a Moda Marble, the selvedge said Patrick Lose. It may have said 1997 but I'm not sure.

I looked on Quilthome.com and they have a couple that might possibly it but I thought I would try here first.

It is thin. The color is an aqua, maybe? It reminds me of a beach glass or a light aqua. It has a very light, summery, beachy feel to it.

I'm looking for 1/4 to 1/2 yard and if I can find a positive id on it I will post in the Classified section for a possible trade or sale.

Thanks for the help!

Try Patrick's site and see if you can find the number. His fabric now is made by Robert Kaufmann and here is the link for his 'marbles'

There are 14 teal-aqua-peacock swatches on the color card I have. Odds are you will never find a perfect match even if you knew the color number because the dye lots can be quite different colors...even more so now that Patrick Lose is no longer at Moda. Good luck to you!

I suggest you go through the swatches at either Hancock's of Paducah or Craft Connection (they both have almost all colors) to see if you can find something close.

What I am looking for here is the color but also the texture of the fabric. I actually found a batik that is very, very close in color. However, being a batik, it does not have the lighter, thinner texture of the Moda Marble and that is kind of what I want for this next quilt.

I looked at that one on QuiltHome and I agree that looks the closest...

Thanks!

What I meant was the swatches of Moda Marbles at those two sites...both of which carry pretty much every color made....not some other similar fabric. Sorry for the confusion.
