The quilt top started as an experiment with the pattern using some scraps for the zigzag, and a background I was not sure why I ever bought. Wanted to test out the pattern, and fell in love wiith the results

As is, the top measures 40" x 51" - a fairly small start for a queen size quilt. So now what? I want to Zigzag to stay the focal point. I do have many pink, pastels etc batiks. Bought those after seeing the design.

Should I just make a throw size? HELP PLEASE. I am truly at sea over how to proceed.

    THANK YOU
    JUlie

    40x51 What next ???

How about a small border and then another border with your zig zag around that. I like what you have already!

Can you expand the zig-zag part to about 50 x 60? That and the surrounding applique on all 4 sides, with a plain border will make it a nice queen size. It's very pretty! Good job!

I agree! Would do a small blue border, then a border of zig zag then another blue border.

I don't have any suggestions on how to make it queen sized but I think your quilt is beautiful.
