I am hoping to relocate there within a few months. The local quilt shop (In Between Stitches) moved and when they had the reopening celebration, DH went to check out the store and got me 10 yards of fabric and a few of the little giveaways the store had for the party. I called the store to thank them for helping him select and it was so funny. The store owner remembered him by name and told me he did very well selecting on his own and had a good time.

I guess he misses being sorrounded by fabrics.

    Anyone being there?

    Maria

Not there, Maride, but welcome from Roscoe, Illinois! Used to live in Lake Forest, CA.

I live in Santa Rosa, north of San Francisco, but used to commute to Dublin - quite a drive....

Alex Anderson from HGTV's Simply Quilts lives next door to you in Pleasanton. I believe she belongs to at least one guild down there, so you might run into her sometime.

I live in Pittsburg and work in Walnut Creek, which is fairly close to Livermore.

I am Bay Area born and raised so of course, I think it's a great place to live. It doesn't snow, even getting to freezing is uncommon, but the summers can be brutal and get to over 100 for days on end. It's a dry heat usually, not muggy like other places I have been.
