I have one and like it a lot, although it only gets used when I am doing small things - not good for yardage as it cools down. When it's hot, though, it's hot. Also it's lighter than my regular steam iron. I end up moving my ironing board around the house for one reason or another, so it does come in handy from time to time. I'm glad I have it.

I have the plain white/silver model of this iron. I have had it for 3 years I think and paid around $80 at Target. I really like it. I like the retractable cord, the case, and the temperature. I haven't experienced a lack of heat for what I need it to. My only complaint is the small water tank. I have to refill it a lot. I wouldn't spend over $100 on one.

I finally bought the steam generated base iron and could kick myself for not buying one sooner. It's great. No steam unless you press the button under the handle and when you release the button it goes right back to a hot dry iron. No drips, spits, or sputters. The tank holds a large amount of water. Donna Jordan uses one in her quilting videos. I got the Reliable Maven but there are many models and brand to choose from. The Laura iron has great reviews.

I have the Panasonic Cordless, not sure about the sole plate. Got it last year, but found putting it back on the base too awkward. And it didn't stay hot like it should have. It's on a shelf and I don't use it, wouldn't buy it again. Now I have a corded CHI, 1700 watts, titanium sole plate, lots of holes for steam to come out and stays very hot. I do like it except that the control dial is not easy for me to use.

I have this iron. Most of my other irons in the past would leak. I didn’t put water in this one and use a spray bottle instead. I don’t want to have to replace it since it cost a bit. It gets hot enough for me and I really like not having to deal with the cord.

I have this iron and have for at least 6 years. Mine doesn't have the ceramic face plate though. I love not having to deal with a cord. Although, I do have a cord minder which helped a lot when using my corded iron. I really like it.

I have a previous (3 years old) version Panasonic Freestyle 360 with stainless steel vs ceramic bottom and love the cordless feature, the fact it’s pointed on both ends, has a wonderful cover making it portable but I find it’s just not quite as hot as my corded irons. I use it for pressing when piecing but like to use my corded rowenta for final quilt top.

I purchased 1 at the AQS show in Grand Rapids 3-4 yrs ago & loved it. Purchased a 2nd about 1.5 yrs ago on sale about 1/2 off so that I'll have another if/when needed. Gets plenty hot for me plus using a wool mat it is all good.
