anyone still working on the 365 quilt challange?
anyone still working on their 365 quilt challenge? I started in January of 207., and I'm hanging in there. keeping up pretty good. I sewed my center together, and now i'm working on all the 6" blocks. This challenge made me learn how to make fast 8 HST's, and it is so much easier after I learned how. how's everyone else doing?

Started mine last Sept, and the first few weeks did well, 7-9 per day, so thought I'd smash this in 6 months. Mostly I'd only saved a pic and cutting measurement so a lot of the blocks were put together a different way and took more time. Quite a few just came out the wrong size and had to be re-done. Now I have 15 - 6" blocks to finish the light border but haven't had the urge for sewing for several months now - so it just sits - waiting, till my interest returns - if it ever does. Family issues seem to have taken over my time since starting the quilt, and I tire too easily. This is what I have done, plus the pile of 6" light blocks. not a great photo...

Except for about 4 weeks I took off for a shoulder replacement, I have been plugging along. when I started back up, i'ld do the current days, then l of the 'missed' blocks. Yes, life gets in the way and somedays I have to do three. yours looks really good. I'll try to get a picture of my center. finished just like yours. only mine is blue-ish.

I'm still saving each block each day- have been so wrapped up in family ( stuff) it seems like for over a year now, but am making progress at catching up on UFO s and late commitments. Very soon I think I will be able to start making blocks. In the meantime I watch others come together and stay inspired. I keep collecting the blocks knowing someday I will be ready. Some projects seem to take me 5+ years to get to but once I do I get them done.

Tearing along, here are a couple 6" blocks. I'm doing mine quilt as I go, have about 30 of the blocks bound, I've always starched my fabric before I cut, but have found with these small blocks a double starch helps
and if a block is not per pattern, I'm still happy to use them. the bottom I titled Land of the Misfit Blocks.
the middle one has 62 pieces for a 6" block.
