I've heard about that. I think Jim West of Quiltposium offered tours for that show. Wouldn't it be fun! Maybe some of our Irish quilting friends will give us an update with pictures.

When I was in Ireland this summer, I asked at several quilt shops about this show for next summer's trip planning. Received not one positive comment. Seems it is put on by a tourism promoter. Response was to come to Ireland to visit but do your quilt shows in America.

I thought it sounded like a great trip and quilt festival. Jim West actually has a home in Ireland that he just bought this summer. I don't think that I have ever heard of anyone taking one of his tours who wouldn't go again.

LOL- sounds like they are not liking the competition! How can it not be good for quilting to have a big event like that- I LOVE the idea of it being outdoors instead of in an airless convention centre (I suppose it might rain though, LOL) Anyhow, I can't go, but if anyone does, please please take lots of photos!
