    Default Applique "donut"

Newbie to applique. Making 15x12 dog face blocks and there are several pieces that are quite large.

??? After tracing and cutting the large pieces of fusible, do you cut out the centers of the fusible to use to make the smaller pieces? I realize if I do this, I know I have to be VERY VERY careful when I fuse to fabric

I like the feel better if I remove the centers of larger pieces but like you said it adds a bit to the overall patience level of placement. Some days I’m just not in the mood to deal with fiddly and if it’s for a wall hanging I usually leave. Your quilt - your rules! Quilting is meant to be enjoyed so do what works for you.
