Since this thread has come up, figured I'd post a picture of the project(s) -- but it needs a bit of explaining. The hubby and I went to the first home game of the XFL Dragons and had a wonderful time. There were a lot of people in Dragon Onesies and the hubby said that if I made him one he would wear it. So, challenge made and accepted and just a week to get it done. I did a quick sweep of thrift stores and found a green adult large onesie on sale for $3 as well as other items like a blanket and trims in the team colors. While rather amazing that I found what I wanted is that there are a lot more used adult onesies out there than I would have ever imagined!
The picture doesn't show the spikes down the back, I made a covering for a baseball cap on top. The perfect dragon belly fabric came from the fancy section of Joann! The Dragon head on m banner was some sort of Ikea diaper bag holder (also thrift store, couple bucks) and I covered the spikes with safety orange tape from the Dollar Store. My head piece belonged to my son 20 or so years ago and has been in the costuming box ever since. (I used to do costuming back in my 20s...) I masked off the rest and painting the spikes on that orange too to go with the team colors.
The Rawr is the font I downloaded -- the team logo is similar but the bar in the middle comes from the other side. Don't have some of the software I used to have on this system but I know other people can digitize a logo... and then I'm always aware of copyright issues.
Seattle is known for its crazy sports fans, and it happened I had an opening in my schedule! We are, of course, shut down but hopeful until then.
