There is a heat n bond feather-lite that I have a friend who really likes it for quilts. Holds like the lite but is softer. I can only find it on-line and I haven't bought any as I have heat n bond lite to use up first then I am going for some of it

I use the Heat 'N Bond lite --but I never just fuse the images to the block -- they all get buttonhole stitched around, and wherever you need a definite delineation between fabrics and pieces of your applique. Most of what I have done as applique have been Sunbonnet Sue/Overall Bill baby quilts. But, I don't think any of the fusible materials will hold without it being stitched down. It just secures it in place so you can stitch it. When I stitch with the buttonhole stitch, I always use an embroidery-type stabilizer behind the block -- What I use as a stabilizer will tear away once the stitching is done -- duh-me -- Stitch 'N Tear! Check out SusieQH's thread for a baby quilt for a girl.

Mistyfuse. Definitely Mistyfuse. You won’t even know it’s there, and if you use Sue Bleiweiss’s “work forward” method, it saves So much time!! https://suebleiweiss.blog/2017/03/19...ward-applique/
