    Default applique pattern

I don't think this question has ever been raised before. I want to make an applique of a fire departments logo to put on a quilt. Does anyone know of a store where I can send a picture of the logo and have them create an applique pattern?

    Thanks
    Carmen

i don't know of an applique maker, but you can send a picture of the logo to spoonflower and they will print it on fabric. you can quilt and/or embellish the fabric and it will look like applique?

I have never heard of anyone who would do it. Any reason you don't have the confidence to make your own pattern? You could have some printing company professionally print the logo onto fabric.

Carmen, I actually did a quilt for a retired police officer. He wanted the patch from his last job. I wanted to use it as a medallion but that patch was Packed with stuff! It had a beach, cornucopia, a guy that looked like the USC Trojan mascot, a derrick...you get the picture! I circled that idea for 2 yrs. Dragging my feet as I Really didnt' want to make it as an applique. One day I saw an ad for a company that prints on fabric...larger than you can do on your home computer. She can actually print up to 51 inches I think. I send her the PDF and my size request. A week later she asked for my address and it arrived. OMGoodness! Its gorgeous..the colors were true. I am still searching for a picture of the actual quilt, but here is a picture of the medallion. I will keep searching for the quilt.

I am not affiliated with this company. Just a Very happy customer. I actually will be sending them some pictures soon.

Just realized I forgot to tell you Where I had it printed!

I am not sure if this would work for you but I created custom aplique pieces using my Cameo silhouette. I ironed heat n bond light on to my fabric, imported the jpeg of the images I wanted to cut out and used the machine to create the cut pieces. Then I was able to iron them into place and stitch.

Thank you so much for the link. The fire department patch is filled with little objects so it would be difficult to applique.

Carmen, if it's not too late try this: https://www.annthegran.com/customdig...?request=quote

They will give you a quote depending of your specifications. Good luck, Angie
