With the problems you are having, I don't think 3" extra is overkill. Good luck. Let me know how it turns out.

So here are the before and after. I am happy the way this came out. I started hand stitching last night.

With that much work already into the applique...I would definitely be calling the company about the background fabric...Such beautiful work!

I did contact the company and they sent a new background piece that was still pretty wonky...I doubt they used a rotary cutter and ruler to cut the fabric. I think they just hacked it with scissors. I tried to center the design on it and didn't like how it fit. So I went to the yardage i had on hand. This has been an eye opener regarding BOM's, of which I vow to never do again. Yet some patterns only come with monthly subscriptions... I guess best to avoid them. Designers would be smart to offer their patterns separately. I believe Elizabeth Hartman and Julie Herman are good to provide both. And they both have patterns on my bucket list.

Just Beautiful! I love the Blue. ! Looks so" Springy" and cheerful.
I am going to get back to my Applique. Was just starting it when I broke my Arm last Jan., and hand work of any kind really set it off even after I started feeling fairly good again.

Love Applique, and looking forward to doing it again!
    Thanks for sharing.

Just wanted to say that you have done an absolutely lovely job so far! Sorry you had the extra work because of the background fabric you were sent, but when you get finished, your piece will be something to be very proud of.
