I have been working on sample blocks of needle turn applique. I always stayed away from this out of fear. I did not think I could do it. I researched this method online with u-tube and found that it is really not that hard. Matter of fact I just love it. I think it is a lot of fun. I have done a heart and now am working on a Sun Bonnet Sue. I have not post pics because I am work right now.

Applique is my absolute favorite. All but 2 of my quilts have been hand appliqued and they have all been hand quilted. I get such a feeling of accomplishment from it, and the more I do it, the better I get. I just love looking at an appliqued piece and realizing I can't see one single stitch and all the curves are nice and smooth. I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Keep up the good work!

I have always loved needle-turn applique. It's easy to take it with you when you go somewhere.

I took a lesson on the Hawaiian needle turn and love it. There are so many beautiful things you can do with it that you just can't get any other way. Glad you are enjoying it.

um! you can still see my stitches. I guess I will get better. But sometimes I like seeing the stitches. I thinks it gives it character.
