Electric Quilt
#2
I have EQ7 and am still learning how to do the things I want to do with it. It is not difficult to learn, but does require some time playing around with it to feel comfortable using it.
I wasn't sure initially if I would use it, so I got Quilt Wizard, which is considerably cheaper (but with much fewer choices and features) and used it for about a year and a half before deciding that there were features I really wanted that were in EQ7 but not in Quilt Wizard.
I feel like it was a good choice for me to go on and upgrade, but I also feel like I'm not using it as much as I should to get my money's worth out of it. However time has been at a premium lately, and I'm spending way too much time looking at what everybody else on this board is doing and not getting enough done myself!

I have used EQ since.... well, way back when it was an easier program, but with lots less features. I love to design my quilts now and print out everything using it. I used to have to import my fabrics, now they are included. What a nice feature. I am going to try to find a class to take in EQ7 as it would make working with it easier. Like I said, I miss a lot of the older features and used it a lot. If you don't like designing your own quilts, you probably won't use the program much. I think its worth the price, no matter what. If you buy the initial program, you can upgrade for a fraction of the original cost. Buy it and try it - you could become hooked.
