Is anyone familiar with Kazbar Quilt Batting? I can't find any information online about this product. I have an opportunity to purchase 80 or so yards of this batting but hesitate to do so until I know if the batting is good stuff. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have used this type batting---it's 100% polyester with a weight of 4.4 oz. Please advise as soon as possible. THANKS!

Have not heard of Kazbar before. Is it 90 inch wide or only 48" that will make a difference with the thickness vs. the weight of 4.4 oz. or if need to piece with big quilts. Did you try google or ask.com?

I found information at kasbarnational.com - take a look. Got this from the website.

Since 1942, Kasbar National Industries, Inc. has been supplying quality textile products to commercial industry and the United States Government / Military.

Sounds like maybe they have a good product but not available to individuals. Looks like you might have found a real bargain if you can figure out the width and thickness of the batting. I'd hate to end up with 80 yards of something I couldn't use.

Thanks for the reply and the information. This batting is 66 inches wide and the person has 80 yards of it. It's 100% polyester and has a weight of 4.4.oz. I don't know that much about batting and didn't want to jump into a purchase I would later regret.

imo, 60" wide is good for baby quilts or twins only and 4 oz per yard is thin. whether or not you like like poly is a personal preference. in the washing, you won't get the wrinkly look that you get with cotton or cotton blend battings.

if you wanted to make adult bed quilts, you would have to stitch 2 lengths together, so there would be waste and what would you do with that? you shouldn't use it for anything hot because it can melt.

btw - why is she saying she wants to sell?
