Have you thought fabric painting? After painting then you can quilt. Since you already paint, it should be easy.

Yes I was thinking about that, hearing about book called "Art Cloth" by Jane Dunnewold.

Check out Quilting Arts magazine, also a TV show. We get it locally on our PBS station. Pokey Bolton is the host and has some awesome techniques. Just a place to start as her guests have such talent you'll be flying all over the internet with lots of good info to check out.

Anything and everything by Jane Dunnewold is an excellent place to start. She is a master craftswoman...that's not just my opinion, she's been designated as such by the state of Texas. There are tutorials on her website that will give you a taste. http://www.artclothstudios.com/index.php

that pretty chicken and her friends killed the pretty flowers I had in the pot so they can take their dust baths in it!
