Vendors first and the best for last, marveling at all the wonderful quilts! :-)

Quilts first. I am there to see the workmanship and beauty of the quilts. It is my goal to spend as little as possible with the vendors. I find all of the merchandise being offered for sale is overwhelming and I can never decide where to spend my few dollars so often don't buy anything.

If the show starts on a weekday i start at the vendors I go to the closest side wall and then go row by row. Then I mark in the program the vendors I want to go back to. Then I take a break and check out the quilts nd hopefully find a chair usually at lunch and check the program. Then back to the vendors. At road 2 Ca. the first couple days weren't to bad at the vendors but the weekend days were terriable just gridlock there were so many people there you couldn't move. I felt so sorry for the people in wheelchairs and scooters they couldn't move or see anything at all. My daughter and I would help clear the way for some that were totally stuck.
I well pass on another cute one. We were standing looking at the program and this cute gal came up to us all excited and ask us where to start this was her first show. So we suggested to start at the wall and work her way acrossed the room. She said that she was going to call her husband to get her a room because she wasn't going home for a couple of days. We wished her well and told her don't get to tired and take a break.
We got more chuckles the rest of the show thinking about her and wondering how she was doing.
it was good memories of my first show.

Quilts first, then vendors. That way I'm not carrying bags and bags, tiring me out.

Quilts first! Then, with my mind reeling with all the ideas and beautiful techniques that I'm dying to try, I go hit the vendors.
