    Default Auction question

Each year I make baby quilts for a nonprofit benefit auction. This year I would like to make a rag quilt using the LSU colors. I will not use logos or team prints, just colors. For personal use I know I'm ok. What about for an auction, can I do this and not worry about trademarks?

If you are just using the school colors, I can't see any problems. There aren't any copy-write laws on using certain colors. You can always check with the school.

Sure it is ok. They don't have any claim to colors.

I would think you are safe with the colors. Go Tigers. We moved here from Louisiana and have an LSU flag in our yard.

I would think it would be OK. I would like to see your avatar quilt bigger.

That's a darling quilt! Best wishes for the one with the school's colors to raise bunches of money. It's a good idea.

Love your quilt -- very happy. What is the name of the pattern?
