Yesterday was like Christmas in the mailbox for me. I got not one, but TWO of the best books I have ever bought for the traditional piecing quilts. The first one was using jelly rolls (at work  right now and forgot the name) and the second was "Red, White, and Sometimes Blue". I read them last night and couldn't help but begin plotting. Then to make it better, both of the sizes for Bow Tie handbags came in. Doesn't get much more redeeming after a rough day at work.

Another great jelly roll book is Strip Therapy 2. It has some really nice patterns in it.

I've been contemplating the Red White and Sometimes Blue book -- so I take it you would recommend it?

I love the red book to death and would highly recommend it. Some quilts would look good in lots of colors, I am just so pleased with the ideas I can hardly wait for the weekend to get started on my stash (little fat quarter shopping).

The other book is called "The Jelly Roll Sampler Quilts" by Pam and Nicky Lintott. They are wonderful quilts for those, like myself, that appreciate the talent and work in to more modern quilts but prefer to quilt traditional patchwork blocks. The book has over 50 block patterns and 10 beautiful sampler quilts.

I am so excited for my package next week -- yeah me I am so blessed--thank you.
