What size are your blocks in the princess quilt? I think it looks great! I have alot of fleece to use and I make quilts for the VA hospital.

Receiving blankets are normally flannel. Baby blankets probably come in a variety of fabrics, including both flannel and fleece. You wouldn't want to mix the types (want all flannel or all fleece).

I'm not sure what size the squares were, and I don't have it anymore, a coworker purchased it for her granddaughter. They were probably close to 10x10 or even 12x12. I cut a square around Cinderella's head and then made all the other squares the same size.
