Baby Boys Flannel Quilt
I am beginning to plan a boy's baby quilt made out of flannel. I have prewashed, starched (back/inside) and ironed flannel fat quarters. So far I have cut 9-6" tumblers from each of the FQs. This will give me 54 tumblers to work with total. Am I on the rt track? Did I get enough shapes out of each FQ? The wage seemed quite minimal but it's my first real attempt w the accuquilt die cutter. I think I may need to cut out more but I'm wondering if I should just keep it to a flannel only top e cotton backing or mix in some cotton to the top w the flannel. What do you think? Thank you for your advice!

Here is a layout using my EQ... 6" finished tumblers ... 9 across, 6 down. You can see that it gives a 40x38" quilt, but that includes the small pieces to square it up... and you don't have those? I usually cut the side points off to square it up, so the quilt will be a tad smaller. And will you add a border? Ooops, just noticed that my layout includes a 1" border, without the border, the quilt would be 38x36. Hope this helps
