Baby quilt ideas for donation to unknown moms
Our hospital is throwing their first ever Baby Shower for the Women Veterans program.
They are seeking donations of baby items, and I have offered a baby quilt.
Not knowing the recipient, I'm wondering what is popular now?
Should I do a modern quilt or a more traditional one?
Should I do a boy quilt and a girl quilt or just stick with colors other than blue and pink.
Looking for suggestions, the more the better Pictures are great!
The donations are due May 1st, so I'd rather do simple and cute vs complex.
This will be my first project since my sewing room floors have been redone by my dh (he laid hardwood).
I get to move in and start sewing this weekend. (He is finishing up the trim)

I've found lots of inspiration on Pinterest. Just enter "fast and simple baby quilts" into the search slot and there'll be hundreds. As for color, it seems that grey is quite popular now, so if you used that as your base color and added both blue and pink, or a neutral yellow or green, you'd have all of your bases covered.

This was fast and easy to do, gender neutral and you don't even need a pattern, just follow the picture with half square triangles and a baby-patterned fabric.

Otherwise, you could do a panel up quickly as well.

Eleanor Burns' quick trip makes an awesome baby quilt and it's a good size. You can use baby themed fabrics, solids, marbled, sports teams, farm animals, or just about anything. Her video is here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=557s&v=33vvUvwBzJk
Our quilt is here: Chatham's quilt is finished
And you know we are expecting pics of the quilt and the sewing room!

Panel quilt and Fat quarter and charm square Baby quilts
The fastest baby quilt I have made was a Panel quilt...just added borders.
The other baby quilt that goes fast uses charm squares (5" precut squares) and a Large Focus Fabric print...(a Fat Quarter) is the Speedy Baby 2 Free Quilt Pattern.
