    I vote for white. Greys are weird, some cool, some warm. The grey could potentially CLASH with the sofa.

    And white pops. And it's less trendy. And it will show off the greys in the quilt.

    White. I agree that if your gray background isn't a good partner for the tone of gray in the couch, it's not going to look good on it, and there are just so many shades of gray. White allows the fabrics to stand out and look fresh, will not clash with the couch or other gray in their decor, and makes for a more visually interesting quilt-- there's very little value variation with the gray.

    Man! I just don't know. I think that the gray would look good then I also agree about the color clashing with the couch. Love your colors. Whatever you do I know that this will be a beautiful quilt. Be sure to show us when you are finished. BrendaK
