    Default diversity quilt

My seminary is hosting an art show in october that is focused on racial and cultural diversity. They are encouraging students to submit entries. Soooo, the challenge is to design a quilt that shows diversity.
    I had a few ideas...
each block is a flag from a different country
some sort of a knot or braid that has different fabrics weaving in and around each other
    hmmm...
    any other ideas?

What about a variety of religious symbols? You could use appliqué on a background of multiple colors or do patchwork that would represent the religions.

How about the Ying Yang quilt pattern but instead of the dot on each side, a different coloured hand? Someone posted a great Ying Yang quilt done in batiks.
