Does anyone make bath towels. If so so you need a serger?

I managed to get some huge Terry towelling sheets on special offer for my Sister, she goes thro' heaps n heaps of towels. After cutting them to size I bound them just like I do my quilts and then over sewed the binding with the stipple stitch that I have on my machine, a stepped zig-zag stitch would do as well.

I noticed them on her washing line yesterday, still fine after 4 years of heavy wear and she loves the hooks I put on them

So to your question, NO you don't need a Serger just a bit of ingenuity

I've used the serger and I've bound the terry cloth fabric. It depends on the thickness of the fabric. Sometimes terry cloth and be a royal pain.
