Vicky, lovely quilts, I particularly like the second one - great setting and what colors!

I love working with batiks, they give you endless color combinations, real depth and some interesting textures with their patterns. I prewash mine, but haven't had any bleeds yet - knock on wood. I just realized I didn't prewash my latest project, so I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I also think they blend nicely with prints. Hard to go wrong with a batik!

I love batiks and I mix them often with other fabrics. In this quilt, the only batiks are the frogs and the green squares in the borders. The yellow background behind the frogs, the purple in the borders and the dark green sashing strips and the binding are regular cotton quilting fabrics.
