I am working on a queen sized quilt. I just picked out my fabric and ran with it! LOL It is the sawtooth pattern, but it has 4 big 40 inch stars, bordered with 10 inch stars. I have all my big stars done and cut out all my 10 inch blocks today.

Still not sure how it is going to go together as the pattern is in my head! LOL (That COULD be dangerous!) But, I am excited to get it put together. I am hoping to start sewing the smaller blocks tomorrow.

JoAnn's had Debbie Mumm fabric on sale a few weeks ago and I bought some with a bird pattern on it, I love birds. The colors are more or less fall colors, again, my favorites. I plan on hand quilting it out.

This is the first time in 10 years that I am making a quilt for me and plan on keeping it. Usually when I make quilts, I sell or give them away.

I will post pictures later. Wish me luck!

I'd say it's about time you kept one for yourself! I understand because I gave most of mine away until the last couple of years. I still make them for family, but make a few for us each year, too.

Good luck. I tend to put quilts together with the plan in my head, usually works out for me.
