Default Beginning binding

I am to my favorite part of making a quilt ~~~ the hand binding, which mean I am coming to the end of my project. This time I did not bury my thread tales first, so I worked on binding for awhile, then buried tails and then returned to binding... Working good ... Still have a long way to go as this is a 79" X 69" quilt. Will post photos when completed. I also designed the label so will ink it before binding is complete.

Hope everyone had a good quilting weekend also

can't wait to see pictures either. Binding the quilt is also one of my favorite parts. I have one ready to be bound, too. Will do that this weekend.

I use to be good at binding able to do 5 feet in an hour. But now it is difficult with my hands not able to hold the needle like in the olden days.

Ah, every time a work on a quilt I think of those "olden" days and what I'd give to have them back, especially for any type of hand work. Miss those days for sure.

I also love to do the binding. It is the last time I will spend with the quilt before it is given away. It is a time for slowing down and enjoying the finishing process, much like a good book, I don't want to put it down.
peace
