Where is Marshall's Dry Goods? I know it has been mentioned many times but I missed the location. Thanks!

Here in Northern Maine, I shop at "Marden's", it's a surplus and salvage store. They sell mostly 100% cottons starting at $2.69 a yard to $3.99 a yard for some Thimbleberry and Moda fabrics. Most of what i buy is $2.99. If i need other fabrics i go to Ct. often and purchase fabric at Joannn's.

Always shop at quilt shops, they always have a closeout area or sales.

Do any of you have Hobby Lobby stores in your area. Ours carries lots of great fabric at reasonable prices and they also carry the Kona solid colors.

I am in the process of opening an online store, just waiting for my web page to be complete. All the fabric and notions will be at great prices. Material will be 5 & 6 dollars a yard. Accugo cutting system I am trying to keep low for all my guilting buddies. I will keep you posted on when the store opens!

I was just going to do quilt kits but I really think the material by the yard would be better. What do you all think?

For those living near Ky. Lavenders in Casey co is having a June sale on fabric $2.75 yd. If you go to Liberty,KY. there is Kings Dept store and they have good prices. While you are there eat at the Bread of Life restaurant.

More people will look for yardage then kits. But try a couple of kits to see how it goes.
Personally I never buy kits , I like to select my own fabrics. But there are a great many who struggle with fabric selection.
