My LQS ordered for me in the large size and it was a reasonable price. In fact, they told me to dilute it a little so it would last longer.

I was incorrect on what I paid. It was only $43.50. Sorry that I made that mistake.

It was the solution in the bottle that turned. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to my fabrics as I didn't use the spray any more after I noticed it turning gray.

My LQS was very good about replacing the bad solution, but now I'm afraid to use it.

NEVER had this problem either and I use it almost daily. I think I would take it back to the store. If they are no help, I'd contact Best Press personally!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned regular "Sta-Flo"liquid starch. We've been using that for a long time and never had a problem. You can buy it in any store that carries laundry products: soap, bleach, dryer sheets, etc. The bottle says to use two parts water to one part starch for your spray bottle, but we've been using 4 parts water to 1 part starch. It works great and doesn't flake. About 2 to 3 dollars worth will make a gallon at the 4 to 1 ratio. I've used the Best Press, and can't tell the difference. Now I have my Stay-Flo starch in the Best Press bottle.

I seem to be the only person who has had Best Press leave a stain on my fabric. I hope it was reacting with something that will wash out. I guess only washing will tell.
